Love that track, and the race! I did my first 100km run on that track as an out and back from the Wanaka side, suffice it to say I was struggling on the last climb to Jacks Saddle, NZ tracks rewrite the meaning of steep!

Fantastic details. One of the hardest trail races I ever ran took place on the West Coast of NZ's South Island. The Kiwis seemed to float over the technical terrain, having grown up on and adapted to those gnarly tracks.

I know! It's incredible. We're so soft with our switchbacks and trail bridges
